I am searching for info on Great Grandfather John Hislop of Ayr born approx. 1866-76, he married Mary Agnew approx 1889 or later, I do have a copy of a marriage registration for a John Hislop and Mary Agnew but I'm not 100% positive it is the John and Mary I seek.
This John was the oldest of sons,his brothers names were; Stewart Alexander Robert, Daniel Moore?James William, there was one girl the last of the family . It is possible that my Grandfathers full name was John Stewart and his brothers were : Alexander Robert, Daniel Moore, and James William and the girls name unknown.
John Hislops Grandmother might be named Jane Stewart.
John and Mary Hislop moved to England and were registered there in 1891, they had 3 children, my Grandmother Mary Hislop was born in 1897, she had a sister named Catherine(Cathy)Jane born 1900 , and a brother named Andrew born 1904. John Hislop was a Wine & Spirits Merchant.
I have pieced this all together from (not very much) so I'm hoping it is acurate,but it may not be?? Any info may help!
