I am Lezlie Heffron-Salmons from Louisiana. Researching Heffron's from New Orleans, immigrating from Ireland in 1850.....seeking any info relat'ed to Heffron ancestry. Would love to get in touch with any Heffron's even if we are not directly related. My email is LezlieFSalmons@facebook.com
Also researching surnames Deblanc, LaSalle, Mestayer, Salmons, and Bunnell. Contact me with any info you are willing to share. Thank you and God Bless.
My name is Tina Heverin, and my husband's ancestors are Heffron from Ballycastle, Co Mayo, Ireland. The different surname that we have now is most probably due to parish priests incorrectly recording church details, this was very common in the past when a lot of people were illiterate in Ireland.
I would love to know if you have any info on where your Heffron ancestors came from in Ireland and any other details you may have?
I have a John Heffron born 1836 Ireland, married Margaret Boggan(s), born 1838 Ireland. I believe Margaret had a cousin Patrick Boggan. John and Margaret were in New York possibly by 1850, but by 1860 for sure. They then moved to Illinois and then to Arkansas. I have never found anyone searching my Heffron family. I can trace them from 1870 to present day with proof, etc. I'm just not sure where in Ireland they came from.
I am researching the lineage of Walter Heffron who immigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1850 with his brother John Heffron. I am pretty sure they came from West Meath, Ireland.....but I am not sure what their parents names are.
