I am searching for my great great grandfather. Thomas and Mary Jane Bennett Hayes moved from Ontario to Watertown, Sanilac County MI in 1880. However, by the 1900 census they are nowhere to be found. Neither are any of their children other than my great grandfather who is living alone in the 1900 census. I think one brother George is still around in the late 1800s with his wife Julia and child George Jr. I am not sure if he is the same George though. I remember my grandma saying that either her father Samuel or grandfather was an orphan. I am thinking that the family might have become ill and possibly died when Samuel was about 14 which would be about 1887. Anyone know of anyone that fits this description?
my 9th great grandfather seem to be john hayes, from england , he left and went to scotland where he had a son name george hayes if this is a connection to any one I like to hear from you,
