Hello, I am doing research on the same region for my family who is also from the Dobromil, Pietnice, Rosenberg area. My family lived in Pitenice and left right before WWII and immigrated to Germany. They were the Mazur/Can family. I wonder if there is any contact or if anyone from that area would know of these families as Pietnice/Rosenberg were small villages. Let me know if you find any information would be interested in any help regarding these towns.
How are you? Well, I am just writing as I may have found a link between the Hartmann family and my grandmother's family. I learned that my great grand-mother was adopted by a Jan Tureczek and Maria maiden name Dziunka. In my research, I have found information that Jan Tureczek came to america to either visit, work, or resettle, and his final destination listed Leetsdale, Pennsylvania Allegheny County, Albert Hartmann. There were two different trips he made, and I'm not sure yet about the details, but I found it a bit intrguing to dig a bit furthur especially with your post on searching for Hartmann family in the Pietnice, Rosenburg, Dobromil area. Pietnice is a hop skip and a jump away from both areas and Jan Tureczek was born there.
Do you know if you have any connection to any Hartmann's in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region? It would be interesting to find some sort of connection if possible.
Let me know if this helps. If I find any additional information such as Albert's wife or additional family in the search I will let you know. They would definitley have had to of been friends while living back in Poland (Galicia) at the time.
