I'm looking for the family of Sophia Harris, who was born about 1820, Nelson County, VA, living 1860, there, who married Zachariah Nash. She is said to be daughter of a Thomas Harris who was descended from Captain Thomas Harris, immigrant of 1611.
I am looking for any information on Colbert Evans Harris of Wayne County, MS. He was married to Mary Annie Rigney. Some of their children were Josie G., Sadie, Ethel, Willis, William and I believe there were a few more. I believe he lived in Lauderdale at one time and quite possibly Silas, AL. She married George Milam Cothran b. 1850 d. 1889.
I have heard that "Harris" was her step father's last name. If this is so, then her real last name is unknown. All that I know of her parents is that her mother's name was Rebecca and that she was born in Missouri.
