Does anybody have any information regarding a Patrick Gough who was transported to Sydney and then Tasmania. He married a lady named Esther Webb who was killed by aborigines in Tasmania.
I am looking for any information on the Gough's that lived in St Clare MI. in the early 1900 (10-20-30-40).
MIlo A gough bn1899, St Clare.
Walter Gough bn. 1868, St Clare
Anna Cushman gough bn.1864 Canada.
Milo was married to Milteena Cornell and divorced. They had a son my father, Robert Arthur Gough who was given up at birth. In Anna obit it said she had two grandchildren, they could be my dads sibling's. Very interested in finding them. Dad has pass (2007) but I promised I would keep up the search, Thanks Sandie
this is a bit of a long shot but in my tree there is a George Gough born 1853 in the U.S. according to the 1881 census in England. His father on his Marriage Certificate is named as John Gough a labourer. in Liverpool. My Wife believes George's birth place was Mitchigan. Does any of this tie up with the Goughs in your tree. any info would be a great help.
Feel free to check out my tree, Best regards Paul Pavey.
I have two John Gough that I am still working on but they were both bn. after 1870
My Gough (McGough) started in Scotland and Ireland and a few in Canada while they migrated to the US.
They entered the US through Canada and in the early years 1860 --- lived in St Clair and Detroit area. There is another Gough line from England. Be carefull they have a lot of the same names and dates. I wish I could be of more help, don't give up. Let me know if you find a connection to my line or if I can tell you any more. Happy Hunting Sandie
