Looking for family of Irene Gilbert, born about 1883 in Ohio, believed to be Cincinnati/Cleveland. I do know that her mother was living in '30s or '40s and did visit Irene and children in small town in panhandle of Texas, Kress. Don't know names or much of anything, all decends are deceased above me. I would appreciate anything you may know.
Im new at this but i do know my great grandfather Thomas Gilbert married Mabel Robbins. I am looking for any information on their parents.... Can you help??
Thomas Leander Gilbert was born 11 Mar 1892 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to George Gilbert and Nancy Smith. I found a public tree published on ancestry.com that has photographs of Thomas, his parents, and information several generations further back. The tree is supported with census records and other information.
Please send me your direct email and I will pass it on to this other researcher. There has been a lot of work done on this line.
My great Grandfather was Burton Gilbert b.04/21/1860 married to Sarah Boyer b. 07/22/1868. Living in Malone, NY and they are buried in Rhode Island. I have his father Francis Gilbert b. 1836 and I believe his Grandfather was also Francis Gilbert and that is all I can find. I believe this is a family that moved around alot. I'm stuck. If anyone has any info about this Gilbert family I would love to hear from you.
My Gilbert great grandparents were Victor and Julia (Valdenaire) Gilbert. They came from France in 1853 and lived in what was called the French Settlement in the Town of Cape Vincent, New York, also in northern New York. Victor was rumored to have been born in a French colony of North Africa about 1818. Julia was born in France in the early 1820s. Both are buried in the Rosiere cemetery in Cape Vincent. Children who survied to adulthood were Jules, Paulina, Frances and Alexander. Hope this may assist you. Also would enjoy help with my ancestors. Other related names of that area are Cornaire, Cole, Reasoner, Wiley.
