The Gelinas family are also related to Gelineau, Bellemare and Lacourse. Three Gelinas brothers were the first pioneers of Yamachiche Quebec and they decided to change their names, one kept the original Gelinas name, the other brother took Bellemare and the third Lacourse. There is a monument with the three names engraved on it in Yamachiche Quebec Canada.
