I am the historian for the German Everett family beginning with Jost, Jacob, Godfrey and Peter. Would like to hear from other family members/
Arthur B. Everett
I was rather excited to see your post in the message boards. My Everett line came from the United States, most probably Pennsylvania, somewhere about 1800. In most Canadian census returns, they list themselves as Pennsylvania Dutch or German. I would be most interested to see if we have a connection. This has been my 'brick wall' for over thirty years.
Would love to hear from anyone who connects to this branch of the Everett Tree or anyone who knows anything about the individuals in it.
Searching for Charles Lamont Everett. Believed to have been born about 1832 somewhere in Tennessee according to census information. He marrried Susan Coe Ives Davenport on May 31, 1855 in Oquawka, Henderson County, Illinois. He served as a cavalry soldier in Company H of the 11th Illinois Veteran Volunteers and saw action at Shiloh where he was seriously wounded. He died aroun November 1900 in Sarpy County, Nebraska. If anyone has any information about this ancestor, I would be so happy to know it. I will share all the information I have on his descendents.
