Just wondering if anyone could help me out a little bit with figuring out the names of a few relationships here, as I'm a little new to the whole genealogy-searching thing, but have found some relationships that I...well anyway, here they are:
My great(x13) grandmother is a woman named Mary...Mary's brother's wife would be my great(x13) aunt... Do I call that my "13th great aunt"?
Also, this 13th great aunt, whose name was Jane, had a great grandfather named Henry. What would be the name for Henry's relationship to me? Is there even a name for that? Jane also had a cousin named Elizabeth...is there a name for Elizabeth's relation to me?
The reason being that I want to be able to tell my friends what that relation is, fairly concisely. That being said, my 13th great aunt's great grandfather was King Henry VII, and the 13th great aunt's cousin was Queen Elizabeth I. o_O And the 13th great aunt? Lady Jane Grey.
I am Looking for any info on Cordie Davis. She was married to George washington Hatfield. They lived in Jellico, Tenn. Cambell County. He died I think in 1972, and she died in 1981. They were my fathers parents.
I also need info on his father...William Henry Hatfield.
I am looking for any information on a Nathan Hizkan / Hittcon / Cohen and Rose or Rosa Bokserman from Odessa, Ukraine. They had four children, Irving, Julius (Julie or Yidel), Sally (Sarah), and Frances (Fannie). Irving and Julius were born overseas and the others in the U.S. They came to the U.S. sometime around 1913. /- .
