I am researching my Duffing ancestors back to Germany. My 3rd Great Grandfather was Ludwig Duffing who was born between 1838-1840 in Baden Germany. It was said that his father was possibly a mayor there. Ludwig was a Goldsmith/Jeweler and went to the USA in 1864.

His mother may be Franciska Clara Franck and father Jakob Friendrich Duffing but I am unable to confirm this. I would love to connect with any distant cousins to find out more information on the Duffings from Germany.
