Hi, I am seeking info on a John Brenton Donovan. He was married to Sarah Jane Hudson from Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. The various data that I have on him is very mixed -- his marriage record indicates that he was born in Bristol, Great Britain, c. 1848 to a Henry and Susan Donovan. His death record states that he was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Various census records indicate his birth from 1842 to 1850. I do know that in 1871 he was listed in the Halifax directory as a plumber/tinsmith. He and his wife had three children - Florence, Jessie and Oscar Glennie Donovan -- and eventually settled in Truro, NS.
can anyone help me find out who my great-great grandfathers mom and dad were? Daniel Donovan married Lida Thompson and had 6 kids, one being my great grandma Hazel.
