My name is ian harold cullen and my father was brian cullen ;-0 He was a shearer in weastern australia ! he married my mother ,margaret warmuth, and had 3 children , jenny , linda and me ! we all have wondered what happened to him as he left my mum and never returned ! do you have any history regarding brian and what became of him ? thanks ian
It's a pleasure to meet you finally. I only remember meeting him a couple of times when I was a kid. Uncle Brian was a "larger than life " character who I remember clearly and fondly from those couple of meetings. Being a shearer, he lived in his car (which looked like it).
Can you give me some details about him and your mother please? The last time he came to visit was in the early 70's. I have a clear memory of the event but your detail might give it context as I had a teenagers view of what was going on.

My name is Keith Cullen. My father was Leslie Charles Cullen (born 1924, died 1991) who was a younger brother of your mother.
Dad married Jean Wilhelmina Bates (b: 25/9/1923 - ) and had four sons: Rodney (b: 1948 - ), Stephen (b:1952 d:2011)Keith ( b: 1957 - ) and Barry (b:1962 - ). My parents divorced in 1979 after many years of separation and my father remarried (Megan Norris) later that year.
I know very little about my father's side of the family other than the names of his siblings and parents. I came across this link because I was looking up war records of my father (served in the army 1941 to 1946) and grandfather ( Leslie Charles Cullen - senior ) who served in the First World War. Growing up I had little to no contact with any of my father's relatives although I do recall visiting my grandmother on several occassions. Some of his relatives did attend my father's funeral in 1991 but I have little recollection of who they were. Sorry I am unable to help you with any other information about my father's side but I hope this helps.

Hi Keith or should I say Cousin? You are the closest blood relative I have found since starting this project. Let me say it is nice to meet you. When I started here I only had my parents details plus Nanna Cullen who died a couple of days before Dad in 1976.
You are the 351 person in my family tree which to my surprise has an outstanding history in NSW, but little is know about the Cullen's in Victoria. I am very excited that you chose today to make contact. Can I call you or correspond by email - I have so much to talk to you about.

Am looking for Daniel Cullen born 1836 Ireland. Emigrated to New Zealand with his brother James in abt. 1856.
Daniel married Caroline Cawkwell in 27/05/1880 in Hokitika New Zealand. Daniel died 21/07/1900 @ Three Mile New Zealand. They had 5 children, Caroline, William, Daniel, Ivy, Phillip.
