I have just received a letter, written by my second cousin, Sidney R. Sprinz to solicitor H.J. Crowe, Esq. in 1920 concerning a cheque for 18 pounds, support for a child. The cheque is to H. V. M. (or W) CROWE. The cheque, torn in half, was enclosed with the letter (its marked not negotiable written across it). I'm trying to find out the names of Miss Crow, who the child is, and that child's name. Would appreciate any help you can give me.
Searching for information on my great grandmother Emmaline Harris Crowe, Married Stephen Joshua Northrup who changed last name to Northorp. She had two sisters who also married Northrup men, but cannot find any information about her parents. It is hinted that she may have been First Nations. Does anyone know about this...please let me know.
