I am looking for information on Peddar Coates, Coates being her married name. She was born in Norfolk c1836 and widowed in 1881. In the 1881 census she is listed as the sister of George, however she is his Aunt.
am trying to find the connection between a Thomas Coates who migrated to Nova Scotia in 1772 with his wife Ann Hood (Head) and later married Elizabeth Henry, and Isabella and Susannah Coates who also migrated to Nova Scotia. Susannah was married to Charles Dixon and Isabella to John Trenholme.
I would like to find out the connection as it has been said that they were cousins, but I cannot find who Thomas' father was.

I am trying to find information about Peter Cotes born 1647 Kirkleavington Yorkshire England. He married an Ann surname unknown. I am unable to find any information about his parents and/or siblings. Peter and Ann had a son Thomas born 21/9/1673 who married Hannah Huntor on 9/6/1696. They had two childrens Ann baptised 4/6/1708 and John. My other stumbling block is Ann, I can find no record for her other than the baptism. I wonder if anyone out there has any information.
