I have just researched all the Chandler family trees on this site. I was very disappointed on how many only put themselves. It would be very helpful if you could at least put your grandparents on your tree so, others can see if they could be related to. I know that is why I joined this site, was to find other family connections.
I my just am from the following Chandler's:
William David Chandler M Julia Walker
Kids:James, Nellie, Mamie, Cramer
William, Nelllie, & Mamie all died from Tubercolisis.
The come from Alabama and Georgia orginally
William, Mamie, & Julia died in Ohio
Mamie married a Kennedy and had 2 children who lived with Julia (Grandma) after Mamie died
Cramer died in Arizona along with his wife Sophia Opalewski. They had one son who is still living.
Have no information on James Chandler . Living, Married????

I looked up chandlers also, it appears that you and I are the only ones doing it..lol. This is still a relatively new site. It will just take time for others to go from myfamily.com to myheritage.com like I did. So far, none of those names you mentioned sound familiar. Hi I have just found this site and I am also researching name Chandler. My Chandler family originate fron England but three brothers emigrated to America in 1850-60s. names were William, Richard and Jacob. sons of Giles and Hannah from Kent. Jacob's son Ambrose John followed him out there but rest of that family remained in England. Ambrose John died in 1939 in Waco, Texas. I am one of the English descendants of this Chandler family.
HI, I looked at your family tree and I didn't see any names that matched either. You never know though there may be a connection later. I am trying to trace my grandfather's brother James Chandler to see if I can get more infor there but no luck so far. Good luck in your search.
I also noticed your in Katy Texas. This is too ironic, we just drove from Austin to Georgia, and we passed Katy saying whay a decent place it was and maybe moving there when I leave the Army.
Some like Katy but we actually would like to move away from Katy soon. Katy is being swallowed by Houston very fast. Having all my kids graduate from Katy schools I am not impressed at all. The teachers only follow the rules if they want to and there is nothing parents can do to enforce other wise. Drugs and alcholic drinking is rampart in the school even though the school district lies and claims it is not. Dont be fooled by the printed advertising you read about the schools in Katy. So if you have kids be very careful moving to Katy.
My great great grandfather was Sheppard Chandler in NC. My family has always believed that he married Dora Adams a direct dicendant of the Prez 2 and 4 but I have not found any proof to that point. I hope to learn more of my heritage and wish you all luck on yours.
