We have a lovely blanket of snow on the landscape. It makes a great contrast against the red leafless twigs of our Acer Sangokaku (Japanese maple) at the front garden. The cold environment is conducive to sitting in front of the lighted fireplace, which makes one contemplate that:
-The fire is a gift from God.
-The heat it gives off is the symbol of God's warm love for humanity.
-The dancing flames are a symbol of God's generous continuous giving to humanity.
-We can't possibly live without God's warm love and continous Divine generosity.
The presence of fire in the fireplace mysteriously draws us closer to God!
