Hi I'm Lisa Buzzelli. My father is Samuel P. Buzzelli. My grandfather was known as Samuel Buzzelli. I'm looking for any information regarding my grandfather. There isn't much information from any source. I've tried talking to my father and aunt but they don't remember much. I've tried looking on the internet but can only find a few bits and pieces. Right now all I have to go on is that my grandfather was born September 26, 1896. I believe he was born in Italy. According to my father he believes the name on grandpa's birth certificate was Samuel salvatore Buzzelli. Although he said it was possible that the first two names are reversed. My father thinks my grandpa came over from Italy when he was 18 in the year 1914 but said it could have been as late as 1920. I can't find my grandfather on any of the passenger lists for either Ellis Island or Castle Garden. My grandparents were married in the Pittsburgh, Pa area. They lived in the same house for many years on the south side of Pittsburgh. My father was born in November of 1941 but according to the county marriages 1885- 1950 my grandparents weren't married til September of 1943. According to the same document my grandpa's parents were Nick Buzzelli and Elizabeth Caruso. I think The Nick is a variation or short for Nicola. My father remembers a brother living in the Akron, OH area along with his family. I'm not sure of any descendants still living. My father thinks the brother's name was Tony and short for either Antonio or Anthony .
