Naaman L. BURGESS was born in Massachusetts, probably Boston, between 1802 and 1805. HIs parents are unknown. By 1837 he was in New Orleans when and where he married Mary Jane RUTAN. They had children Naaman Jr. in 1848, Louisa in 1850, Warren in 1855, Auguste in 1859 and Amos in 1867.

Naaman Jr. married 1-Mary Ferguson 2-Clemence LeClerc. He died in 1896 in New Orleans. Louisa married Emile Walker and had known daughter Eugenia in 1876.  Nothing is known about Warren and the other two died young.

The name PARSHALL has a connection to this family but I'm not sure exactly how yet.

Any information on this family, especially Naaman's parents, date and place of birth, would be greatly appreciated.
