I have Kerr & Pinkerton(yes connected distantly to the Pinkerton Detective founder)
My Kerrs are Nitshill.Abbey parish in Renfrew,Hugh Kerr migrated from Donegal with his six children around 1844.He remarried to Margaret McDonnell & they had two gilrs who died as infants. My GGGreat-Grandmother Ellen/Helen Kerr/Carr married twice but only had one child that I can find my GGreat-Grandmother Margaret Leitch(her Father Archibald Leitch) was not one of Elen's husbands. Two of her brothers settled in Cumbernauld next to a Cornelius Kerr who I think may be a brother to Hugh but have nothing to confirm that just the age & the fact that the boys went to stay with him when still young teens.
