I am searching for my 3rd great grandfather, William Buntin, possibly William George or George William Buntin. He was born in Virginia. Maybe married twice, once to Sally Jones. Had 12-13 children, most born in Halifax County, Virginia. The youngest born in Person County, North Carolina. We have been told that William and his wife died within a few years of one another, we think arouund 1832. in North Carolina. Their oldest son, John W. Buntin, migrated the rest of the family into Indiana and Hopkins County, Kentucky. My 2nd great grandfather as well as my grandfather were born in Hopkins County.
I would be appreciative if someone could find any information on 3rd great grandfather, William. He may have spelled his name at that time as Buntine. As far as we know, 3rd great grandfather was born between 1780-1790. If anyone can point us in the right direction, we would be totally in your debt. We have been looking for this man for over 40 years and not one of us have been able to come up with any definite proof. We do not live close enough to Virginia to be able to research on our own so I'm hoping someone can help us.
