I have recently transcribed the birth register for England & Wales for the surname BULMER between the years 1837 to 1900.
I have added details to the register that I have relating to the individuals who appear in the register and in my family tree.
I am happy to email this register to anyone who is interested in Bulmer research, who hopefully is also happy to add the details relating to their research.
This database will form the basis for a website, which could help identify the various branches in all Bulmer family trees which are being researched and may assist in identifying various avenues of further research pre 1837.
It will also save future Bulmer researches buying certificates.
My husbands great great Grandfather was Thomas Bulmer born about 1810 in England and came to USA between 1861 and 1870, He is in West Virginia census in 1870. His son John Sampson Emmel Bulmer was my husbands great Grandfather.
I am trying to find out who Thomas' s parents were and his first wife Ann ??? ,
looking for who John Sampson married, her first name was Elizabeth and I think they were married about 1867-1869. Their son also John was born in 1870 in Carter County Kentucky USA.
Would love to have any thing you can send on the Bulmers.

If you go on my website and follow the link to the 1851 census, then go to Household Ref 51609
I think this also shows your family interest. It shows Thomas a widow at this time, with son Joe 13 Billy 11, Thomas 8, John S H 6, and Feargus O’Connor 4 living at 3 Cock Pit House, Stanley Cum Wrenthorpe, York
As you can see their neighbours are also Bulmers and could well be relatives
If you now go to the 1841 census link on my website, then go to Household Ref 41541 I think it shows the same family Living at Cock Pit Houses,Stanley cum Wrenthorpe. It shows Thomas 30 a coal miner, Ann 25 who I assume is his first wife, Joseph 4, William2, and Sarah 2 months
There is a possible marriage shown in the Marriage register for England and Wales for Thomas and Mary. You can either look this up on www.freebmd.org.uk or go to my website for marriages after 1838 and look at my ref number M488 which show Thomas marrying in the third quarter of 1851 and also show a Mary at my ref M484. I think this probably means that a Thomas Bulmer married a cousin Mary Bulmer. Only way to check these entries are to purchase a marriage certificate using the Reference obtain from www.freebmd.org.uk
I have collected the above information in about 1 hour there may well be more.
