My Broughtons: Willoughby, and his son Job - Revolutionary Soldiers.
Job's son: Woodward Broughton 1775 NC, died 1846 Rockcastle Co.,KY; married Elizabeth Bluford 1794 NC. Their daughter Elizabeth 'Betsy' 1807 KY -1865 MO; married Hezekiah Smallwood 1822 KY.
Need proof Elizabeth 1807, is indeed Woodward's daughter.

Hi, don't think I can help you. Looked a few places, Ancestry.com etc. Unfortunately, I've recently quit their World Wide services. I did find on Ancestry.com; under Australia Death Index 1787-1985 one Arthur Stanley Waine Broughton died 1939 and listed his father as: Arthur William.
Douglas Wain Broughton was living in Kennedy, Queensland 1963.
Magdalene Wilhelmina Scharf was listed in Australia Electoral Rolls as living in Kennedy, Queensland in 1936.
Do you know which Broughton was the first to arrive in Australia? Did he come from England or USA? Ours came from England early in our history.
Good places to look for data in the States is family obituaries or family diaries; census; birth/death records in our County Courthouses in each State. Also look through any type of family papers; ask older relatives and/or cousins/Aunts/Uncles, etc.
