I am researching my family history and would be keen to receive information on George Stewart my Great great grandfather and his family. .He was born in Aberdeenshire in 1790 one of nine children and married Mary Lauder in 1817.He lived in Rothiemay where he died in 1840.
looking for information on William Sutherland born i think in banff Feb. 1816 parents John married Mary Grant, could have been born in aberdeenshire. date of birth does not work out with his age on his marriage certificate in Australia but he lists john and mary grant as his parents on his marriage certificate. can anyone help? try the local heritage centre in Moray. Google The Moray Council, use the A-Z for archives and follow the links. Thay have a great Libindx wher you can search for anybody who lived in the area.
