I have found a type written research/history compilation of the Bradt Families of New York from 1938 compiled by Edith VanHeusen Becker from Broadalbin New York. The compilation starts with Albert Andriese Brat and Arent Andriese Brat arriving in New Amsterdam in 1637. It continues with them moving to the Albany Area. there seems to be over 100 pages of information. If this may aid in your research contact me.
It may be of some help to me, as my Grandmother was a Bratt, which I believe was originally spelled Bradt. Her Grandfather was a Samuel Bratt born somewhere in New York in 1785, but I cannot find any info. If there is any mention of a Samuel Bradt born in 1785, it might be him.
There are numerous Samuel Bradts but nothing born 1n 1785. There are some with no birth dates but other information attached. Can you give me his children's names and/or his wife's name. If there is any other info like where he lived. (Town or County) The papers start out with Arent Andriese Brat and his brother Albert Andriese coming to New York from Holland in 1636. I would think that most of the Bradt/Bratt/Brat etc. all decended from them. What ever info you can pass on I will try to look up.
