Rotha Millar BLAIR was born in 1877 in Yorkshire. One of 6 Siblings born to Alexander & Margret BLAIR.
She appears to have married in 1907 in Croydon, and I believe that she had at least one child called Joan. If I am right Joan was a nurse on ships, and served on the "SOUTHERN CROSS" during the 50's / 60's. I believe that Joan married a seafarer, I think a Captain, and lived in Sidcup Kent where I visited her in about 1978.
Rotha was a sister to my Grandfather. He along with his wife and family migrated to New Zealand.
I am trying to find 2 second cousins Robert Cunningham [geologist] & Ivor Cunningham {architect] 2 brothers, Their mothers maiden name was Mary Richardson. Originally she came from Bishop Auckland, Durham & had 2 sisters Isabel & Betty[Elizabeth] Richardson Their fathers name was Robert Richarson. Isabel [my grandma] was born in 1889 & was the eldest of the 3 sisters. Mary & Betty were both school teachers & lived in the Bexley Heath & Black Heath areas. Looking for information about the CLARKE family of WOOLWICH. The first information I have is of James Clarke, who was born in Woolwich in about 1854. His father was William Clarke. Any information at all would be most helpful.
