I am searching for connections to Jane Spanner Cavell, born c.1806 in Godshill and her husband, John Cavell, born c. 1811 in Arreton. In particular, I am searching for descendents of their children: George, born c.1834, Janet, born c. 1840, James, born c. 1841, and William born in 1849.
Jane and John had two other children: Henry, born in 1836 and Isaac born in 1839. Both Henry and Isaac emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, USA and spent the remainder of their lives there. Isaac married Sarah L. Lewis, born in 1842 of English descent.
I found a Jane Spanner born the 25th of January1807 Godshill IOW. She was the daughter of Edward Spanner and Mary Woods. Jane married John Carvell14 November 1832 in Godshill, IOW. The Spanner information I have was obtained from a wonderful researcher in England in 2003.

On the 1891 English Census, George & Frances Smith have their grandson Nathan (born 1884) living with them. This Nathan I believe married a collateral cousin of mine Elizabeth Jane Hermon (daughter of Leonard Wilton Hermon & Elizabeth Jane Northey) in 1915. I cannot determine which of the sons of George & Frances he belongs to, but possibly not Nathan born in 1851 as I believe he died in 1880. I guess, he could have been a son of one of the daughters too!
