Does any one have any details on a Thomas Thacker born 1796 Whittlesey Cambridgeshire, England. I have researched my family extensively and have hit a brick wall with my G G Grandfather Thomas Thacker, he was of Baptist faith and I cannot find any information as to qualify his birth details or his parents and siblings.
Interestingly I might be very distantly related, via Agnes Blunt who married Thomas Thacker (born c.1837, Benwick).
Have you checked the Whittlesey parish registers? Maybe it would be worth asking someone to do a 'look up', via Rootschat for example. There were 2 Thackers baptised in Whittlesey between 1801 and 1837, John in 1802 and Robert in 1805, to Joseph and Elizabeth Thacker. So its not beyond belief that these may also be the parents for your Thomas.
