I have been searching for Clementina Osborne -I am a member of Ancestry but after 1871 she is not listed. I wonder if she passed away. but the death is not there.
Family search I could not locate info. Even though I have been doing this for 2-3 yrs. I still get stuck. I am not sure either is she was ever married. Is there a BMD site I could check for Buckinghamshire.
The Osbornes are my dads family, they came fron Newport Pagnell, Bucks.
I have found a marraige record for a Clementina Osborne in Apr-Jun quarter of 1879 in Thame, Buckinghamshire to a Thomas William Latham.
I then find her in the 1881 Census as Clementina P. Latham born Chilton,Bucks. living in Arlesford Farm, Tetsford, Oxfordshire with her husband Thomas with their daughter Alice M. Latham age 8 months. Also a visitor detailed as Emily C. Osborne aged 26.
The 1891 Census finds her in the same place with her husband, and their children; Alice now 11, Thomas S. age 8, Louie (daughter) age 4, Wilfred J.R. age 2, Arthur O. age 7 months. Plus Helena S. Osborne (niece) age 16, and a visitor Charlotte Martin age 24.
am looking for as much information regarding the boddy and shepphard families as am trying to build my family tree and trying to connect them. The dates i have for annie shepphard is 1878 and she was born in seer green but need to find out what connection she has with the boddys. Any information greatly appreciated.
According to the 1871 Census Joseph and Ann Boddy had a daughter called Jane (b. abt 1858 Seer Green, Bucks). Free BMD has Jane Boddy marrying John Sheppard Dec Q 1877 Amersham, Bucks. On the 1881 Census John and Jane are living in Seer Green with son John (abt 1880 Seer Green) On the 1891 census there is another grandchild staying with Joseph and Ann called Edward Sheppard (b. abt 1883 Seer Green, Bucks). Jane and John Sheppard are on the 1901 census with 2 more children Herbert (abt 1891 Seer Green) and Louisa (abt 1893 Seer Green). I have been unable to find John and Jane on the 1891 census at all.
I have found Jane Sheppard in Seer Green, Buckinghamshire on the 1891 census.
She is the head of the household and is a Beadworker by occupation. The address is 28 Hall Place, Seer Green, Bucks. She is living with her sister Annie Boddy age 25, also Jane's children: John age 9, Mary age 6 and Thomas age 3, and her niece Alice Boddy age 1. All born in Seer Green.
So you have your connection to the Boddy family all on one census, Jane is stated as married but he's not in the house on the night in question.
Please find attached the census entry, I'm sure this has helped.
