I have some info on the Bass family name as my mom's maiden name was Bass. It would be helpful though if you could give a littel more info - do you know what your grandfather's name was and when he was born, your grandmother's name (with maiden name0 - any info of that sort would help me narrow it down.
I am trying to find information on Joeanner Frier who's maiden name was Bass. She was born 5/22/1882 and died in 1972 in Lowndes County, GA. She was married to Samuel Austin Frier and her father was Joseph Bass (b. 2/1863). I know her mom's first name is Oseanna. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I also saw that the next household on the Census was one headed by a Martha Bass. She is listed as a FARMER, with 4 children living with her - one son and three daughters. I wonder if perhaps this was his sister?
