I am searching for information re my Paternal Grandfather John Henry Atkins born 26th Oct 1845 or maybe 1851. He was thought to be born in Burton upon Trent England and his fathe was also a John Henry.
My Gr Father joined the British Army when 21 and served for 12 years somewhere in India. He then came to Australia
Very little is known of his life before Australia and so any information would be greatly appreciated
i have a joseph Atkins a soldier in madras india his daughter is my ggggg grandmother Mary ann Atkins who was born in the indies and grew up in the potteries England, maybe some relation?
