I've finally gotten to the portion of my research where I've found my slave ancestors. Now, I'm wondering how to go about finding a slave owner and/or plantation of my ancestors. What I know right now is, my 4th great grandmother had the last name of Pugh her husband's last name was Spring, but their daughter had the last name of Britton. I'm pretty sure Sarah Pugh was a slave, but how would I go about finding her owner?
