Hi Bev, I was wondering if you were still offering to help find some family records? I have previously e-mailed you regarding my grandfather James Walter Brown and was wondering if you were able to find any information. I'm also working on the Burr side of my tree and they are from Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Thank you
I have been searching for my ancestor - James Gordon who was born in forcett/ripon area around 1786.how he grew up I do not know- travelled to australia via the navy around 1806 and then onto tasmania- where was know as capt. james gordon.any help to find him would be great
Hi Bev, I really thankful for any help you may find for me. My grandpa James Walter Brown was born in Germany abt.1887 his father was English and his mother was german is there anyway that you might be able to find his birth record. According to a 1930 census he became a citizen in 1889 and was a WW1 vetern , but none of the records showed the names of his parents. I don't know how is check the ships he came over on and I don't know if he was with my Great grandparents at the time, he would have been about 3 years old. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm not really sure where he died at , my dad said he thought it was in Arizona, because he was always looking for the lost dutchman gold mine. If you find any thing out please let me know. Thank you Aggie

Thank you for the offer in general, a very nice service you're offering. My roots are Hungarian, my parents are both deceased, and emmigrated from Hungary in 1956, though not together. I'm looking for family information on both the maternal and paternal sides (grandparents); birth dates, deaths, names of relations... My information:
Paternal: Grandfather: nehai Marx Lipot (surname Marx, given is Lipot), Budapest, Hungary. My father, Robert Marx (b. 1931 May 29); has a brother (Laszlo), possibly sisters Grandmother: Julianna Pek.
Maternal: Grandfather: Jozsef Mihaly Balo (surname: Balo, given name: Jozsef), Gyor, Hungary. My mother, Victoria Balo (b. 1939 April 23); has sister Eva or Eve and half brother Csillag Peter. Grandmother: Julia Marko (possilby also spelled Marco).
To the best of my knowledge, both sides where Catholic.
I'm new at this, any advice is appreciated.... I belong to a couple of other sites, to include Radix.com; Ancestry.com and RootsWeb. Thanks, Bev, for any help you are willing to send my way....
Hi Bev, my name is Ann Fair and I wondered if you could please have a wee look to see if you could find my paternal grandfathers death. His name was Peter Duffy d.o.b. 12/03/1901, in Carluke in Scotland. He married Annie Cameron on 07/03/1925 in Blythwood, Glasgow. They had 2 sons prior to being married, (the elder being my Dad) I have him on a sailing to New York in 1922, which is the year after their first son was born. their second son was born in 1924 so he returned from New york and then they married. All his siblings also went to USA.( I hope this wee story isn't to muddled ) Then in 1928 Annie died, and from then on my Dad never seen hide nor hair of him. I seem to remember my parents discussing him and saying that they heard he was in England that would be about 1950/55. I'm in Scotlandspeople.gov.uk so have looked in there. This is very kind of you to do look ups, bye for now, Ann
