Is there anywhere that I can find the 1920 Federal census without having to pay an arm and a leg? I managed to get alot of information off of the 1930 census but now would like to go backwards.
Check if your local library has access to Ancestry's database. Or the Church of Latter Day Saints should have a library they let researchers use. Your town may even have a Geneology Society with library to use.
Clara was born a Tantrum in New Zealand in 1879 her parents were Edwin & Mary Tantrum from Shropshire, England, who immigrated to NZ in 1873.Clara was raised, married and lived in the Manawatu region of NZ. In 1901 Clara Married John Howe James, John died in 1904. In 1911 Clara James married John Tuxford Woodmass. From the NZ Electoral Roll records I have recorded that until 1928 Clara and John lived in Feilding, Manawatu, NZ, John Tuxford Woodmass died in 1931. I have been trying without much success to find out what happened to Clara.I have found no record of Clara having died in NZ by checking under her married name of Woodmass or her born maiden name Tantrum up to 1999. The last residence I have for her is the 1928 Electoral Roll entry where she was recorded living at Feilding in the Manawatu. Clara could have remarried however I have checked the NZSG Marriage CD up to 1956 and there is no record, I would have still expected to find a Electoral Roll entry for her if she was still in NZ.It seems quite likely that Clara left NZ but where would she go? I have searched via Ancestry Searches the England & Australia marriage and death records and the Australia voting registers without success. I have no record of any children born to Clara's 1st or 2nd Marriage. Grateful for any info
My mum and I have both downloaded the tree builder and have been working in it together. I build something on my PC, export it to a dropbox account and she picks it up from there. We both have our own accounts for the site and neither of us have published this tree.
It's my great uncle's birthday today and my mum just got an email from the site reminding her, I didn't.
Has one of us inadvertantly published our tree or are the details we put in the downloaded program automatically uploaded? If it is the latter, how do we remove them as my mum is very paranoid about this information being available online.
I want to export a PART of my family tree to Excel and import it to a new one. The export seems to be fine and in Excel it seems that the right persons are exported BUT when I try to import the .csv file I get an error message telling me that one heading is wrong!!! I have not done anything, just exported and trying to import. What's wrong?
I have a comlicated family in that my half-sisters share a half-brother who in fact is only my cousin and not my half-brother as it keeps filling in for me.....How do I delete him from my tree as a sibling (he is NOT my sibling).....
I would like to create a chart (tree) for both my husband and I. I would like it to include both of our parents, our siblings, our siblings spouses and their children and our children. Any ideas how to do that??
