Pleased you contacted me concerning the Pengilley family as I've been doing quite a lot of research and there is still quite a lot to discover!
Initially much of the research of William's family in Hastings was done using micro fisches before the availability of the internet. I certainly could have saved hours of work if I'd left it a few years!
I have a couple of photos/photocopies of this William, one in his Crimean War uniform and another original that was passed down to my father.
I gave copies of William's photos to a relative in Brisbane who has also been doing research and she is down Eliza's branch. Maybe these are the photos you are referring to, or maybe you have different ones.
Hio Again Robyn and thanks again. I am nearly certain we have the right Enid as mum remembers being told her mum died of TB, which corresponds with your info. Mum was born in Charlton, which is south of the river not far from Woolich.i would love to have a copy of photos if that ok, also i have a photo of Enid which i could send with any others i might find.
As a newbie to all this where is the best place to start when looking for someone? My dad's mum has very little info on her and there appears to be so many stories around that it's hard to work out the truth and he never knew who his father was. Any tips please?
Hi, I have a family tree with 126members and everything works well. I would like to download the tree into FTB to make some changes that cannot be done with the online tool (e.g. marriage between cousins who are both in the tree already). However, when I download the tree and open it with FTB it only shows 91 of the 126 members. How is that possible? What can I do?
You have probably set the privacy options when you downloaded the gedcom file to exclude living people. Try setting so that all records are included in the gedcom.
At least you were able to get that far. I have 400 members in my family tree and I still have not been able to figure how to download all the info to FTB. Can anyone help?
