I located a family tree on ancestry.com with this family. Virgil is on the son of Virgil C Morgan (1865-1972) and Lille Myrtle Rea (1887-1944.) The Morgan line is traced backed well into the early 1700s. I cannot see living people's information but it shows Virgil had two living children with a living wife...meaning the owner has information on his children.
I'm not sure if you found your way to ancestry.com and published this tree. If it is not your tree and you would like me to forward your direct email to the owner, I'd be happy to do that.
Hi, I hope someone out there will be able to help me.
In trying to research my ancestors I keep running into a rather infuriating "brick wall". The problem is that there is no father mentioned on my mother's birthy certificate, and my mother never really talked about him other than to say that he was a deep sea diver {which, knowing her tendency to "embelish" the truth, may very well be completely untrue} and never ever even mentioned his name. The result of this is that I do not know who my maternal grandfather was, and as my mother passed away in 1983 and I know of no relatives who could help me in this, it seems that this proverbial brick wall might prove impossible to break down.
My mother's name was Elizabeth Violet Frances Nicholas and she was born on december 4th 2009 in St. Erth, Cornwall, England.
My grandmother was Margery Nicholas and she was born on march 26th 1872 also in St. Erth, Cornwall, England.
If there is anyone who could give me an idea who my grandfather was, or who could give me any suggestion on how, or where, I might find out, I would be very pleased to know.
does anyone know how I would search birth records in Germany? My grandpa was born in germany in 1887. What other records can I look for that might have the names of his father and mother. According to the US Census for 1930 he came here when he was about 2 years old. But his parents names were not given on that census. Please help me. Aggie
I am adopted child who is fortunate enough to know at least the first few generations of both my biological parents as well as my adoptive parents, however I cannot find the means of adding in an adoption so that I can trace the family and my only other option appears to be to create a whole separate family tree. I would like to avoid this option.
This is a major flaw in the program as far as I can see. Ancesty and Family Tree Maker both handle adoptions better.
Open to correction, or update plans?
Do the programers read these notes?
Love the program picture and family networking functions better than any of the others, so I'll probably never leave, but this major flaw is really an insensitive oversight.
hi I have a simmular problem, I removed the father, then re added him with out a surname I just listed it as his first name.. then on the children I wrote there name..
