I saw your posting. I have access to all US and English census records which is the best place to begin your search. I'd be happy to start tracing your family back. This tends to lead to more information and leads. I would need a first and last name/approx birth year and best guess location. Census records are only available up to 1930.
I am Steve Portsmouth. My father was present at my birth in England. He was of east-asian origin but I do not know his name. He was some sort of Pilot. I have had a DNA test which indicates that the family may have come from India, Pakistan or Armenia. I think he pretended to be a Canadian Native "Indian" to my mother. He joked ubout his vegetarian diet upsetting the tribe and that they called him "Chief Redbean". Perhaps he did spend some time with a First Nation group. I and my two children would sure like to pow wow with him.
I was going through all the names on my family tree, And I noticed there were alot of people that weren't connected. And they were connected on another program I used to upload the gedcom file. Is there an easy way to fix this?
Hi, I've been away for awhile and I have a new laptop. Did the usual but I can't 'connect' to the site upload. But I can connect if i login in on the site itself? Please help?
I am looking for information on the Lavallais family. I am from Marksville, La., in Avoyelles Parish. I am sure that I may be able to help some of you too.
I am interested in learning about the family. I have two aunts living in their nineties who are from Marksville, Avoyelles Parish. They are the sisters to My Great Grandfather who passed away, and I would like to study the geneaology. His father was Simon Lavalais, who had also had 12 brothers I believed. His mother was Lessie Lavalais.
