I have a number of photographs that were once owned by my great great grandparents. I believe one of the photographs is possibly a picture of my great great grandfather as a young man, however, I can't be sure since it is not labeled. I do have a known photograph of him as a man of about 60, however, he has a beard and moustache as an older man, and the other picture shows a clean shaven man. I'm hoping to find someone who can use computer software or other techniques to compare the photos, measuring facial features, etc, to see if they "match." Has anyone ever done this before and know of someone who might be able to do this sort of study?
A great resource for gravestone data can be found at

I found details of an ancestor's gravestone with information on it that expanded my knowledge of that person. Well worth a visit and going back from time to time as more graveyards are being photographed and recorded. I have also been inspired to volunteer to document the graveyard where my parents are buried, making a start yesterday photographing the first batch of gravestones and indexing them this morning.
Almost forgot to mention the most important point! It is free to use.
Do you have any old family photos that are torn, or have waterstains and other signs of aging? I may be able to help restore old photos! Of course, I can't work miracles and some pictures are just beyond repair, so it would be best to email me a picture and I can let you know if I'd be able to help touch it up. (I charge a small fee, depending on the amount of repair needed, any questions just ask!)
