William CALDWELL was born 7 Jun 1857 in Ireland, married Louisa Emily BARRINGTON 29 Dec 1881 in Somerville, Mass, died 26 Dec 1918 and was buried in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Mass. According to the 1910 census his parents were Edward and Rebecca Caldwell both born in Scotland and immigrated in 1880 to the US (I assume from Ireland). I am looking for immigration records or any information about his parents.
Hello! My name is Stephanie Longo and I am a writer/journalist based in Scranton, Pa. I am currently researching a book, tentatively titled "The Kissing Post: Love Stories from Ellis Island" and I am looking for people to share stories of their ancestors. Basically, I am looking for people who arrived at Ellis Island and who were reunited with their husbands/wives/fiance(e)s after years of separation. The story could have taken place in any year and the immigrants could be from any country.
If you are interested in sharing your story, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit my website, www.stephanielongo.net for more information. I look forward to hearing from you!
Can someone tell me how to find a birth certificate for a relly that was born in the East Indies. I know he was born there as I've found this info on census forms. I need his birth certificate to confirm his parents. Everyone I've asked points me to Kew but I've got no idea what to do!
