Nothing else :) Thank u very much! ;)
I can't help you with Linda and Ilona's present whereabouts. What I do know is that they grew up in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, and my mother and their mother were best friends. The girls were a few years younger than me and I sometimes used to babysit. My strongest memory about their mother is that she had a terrible scar on her arm, where she had held it over a gas flame to burn away her identity number from the German prison camp. She was a strong cheerful woman, and always very kind to me. I can only rember her as Mrs Webster
I was astonished to see your entry, as this is the first time I have been remembering those times for many, many years, I googled Linda and Ilona Webster just now to see whether they are still in England and how they have been getting on, and this came up.
I'm looking for family members or anyone who can give information on Alfie Clegg who died in 1957. he married Annie Marie (Boulton) Low when her husband (Allen Low) died. They lived in Rhodesia and he was in the Police Force there.
Hi, I'm searching for resting places of my grandmother's two brothers, > who died during World War I. They fought on Germany's side. Their > death certificates state that: > > Franciszek Kozubski (Franz Kozubski) died in France, in Demuin; > Antoni Kozubski (Anton Kozubski) died in the battle of Passchendaele (Belgium). > > Are there any World War One cemeteries near these villages? > Does anyone know where could be their resting places? > I would be very grateful for any clues or hints on how to look for them. > > Many thanks in advance for your help! > Regards,
