Looking for the man who had a relationship with Myrtle L. Parker, from IL, in 1953. She worked at the Salvation Army and you did too. From your union, I was born. Myrtle's mom was Bonnie and she also worked at the Salvation Army. Myrtle would have been 17 when she conceived.
My dad was adopted in 1925 in NY where the adoption records are still closed. He died in 1961. His 4 kids are trying to find his birth parents mostly for medical and geniological reseach. Can "23 and me" DNA links help connect us to relatives? We are at a loss with NY's closed adoption records! help is appreciated.
You may not be able to get the adoption records but have you tried to get his birth certificate? It may have his birth parents on it? As far as the 23 and me, I have never tried DNA testing so I am not sure how it works. I believe it will give you a general idea of ancestry but will not pinpoint a specific person.
I wish you lots of luck! I hope that you can find what you are looking for.

My aunt's name is Lee Ann Deenese Daniels. She was born Dec 29, 1965 in Bexar, San Antonio, Texas, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was adopted by Robert and Ruby Daniels. The adoption was pre arranged. Robert and Ruby are listed on her birth certifcate. She was told it was a secret pregnancy, and her birth mother could not keep her. Her medical records show her mother only gaied 15lbs during the pregnancy. She was told her mothers name was Katherine (could be differnt spelling) and went by Kathy. Her birth certificate says her birth mom was born Aug 17, 1942.
I am looking for any information on my birth parents- father Edward Ella Hayes born July 17, 1928, in Marion, Illinois, or mother Bridget Mary O'Connor, born January 23, 1933, in County Cork, Ireland, immigrating to the US sometime in 1952- I believe she sailed out of Southampton on the ship Georgic...
Just wondering if anyone has any information on Ellen Martin, born in Philadelphia, USA, around 1876. Ellen Martin gave birth to my grandmother, Doris ‘Lulu’ Gwendoline Martin on March 5, 1900 in Wellington, New Zealand. Doris was adopted by James Doyle (1852-1926) and his wife Alice Brooks (1867-1954) in Wellington on May 19, 1900, and became Doris Gwendoline Martin Doyle. In 1919 Doris married Albert Harold Hanlon (1890-1982), and in 1928 married Francis Eric Quinlivan (1899-1986). There was no record of Doris' father on the adoption file, so it looks like the father will remain a mystery. I don't know if Ellen stayed in New Zealand or returned to the USA.
thanks very much,
Looking for Illynn Yarnell's birth family. Her mother, Louise, gave birth to her on April 14, 1916 at The Willows maternity sanitarium in Kansas City, MO. Illynn was adopted by Dr. Samuel Stegeman and his wife, Ida May.
The story was that Louise Yarnell died in childbirth and Illynn was put up for adoption. We do not know if this information is correct but we do have a Certificate of Birth from the State of Missouri with Illynn's birth name.
Any information you can provide will be appreciated.
I am trying to locate the mother, father and/or family members of a child born Evonne Jones January 12, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York. Evonne Jones since then had a name change after being adopted.
FACTS: Evonne Jone's biological mother was a young mother born in 1929. We do know that she had 10 siblings. She also had a son and he was also given up for adoption, the year is unknown. The family is or was located in the south eastern part of the states; maybe West Virginia, Virginia and relocated to New York.
I am the daughter of the adopted woman. If you have any information please send me message. Thank You

On the SRS paperwork says I have a 1/2 brother born about 1947-1948...18 yrs older than I am. She was married to a Theodore T. Smith and lived on Grove Steet in Wichita. SRS paperwork says I am part Cherokee.
