I am seeking my birth family. I just received DNA results from Ancestrydna.com and I would like to find out any and all information I can about myself and my family. A cousin advised this would be a good place to add to my research so here I am.
I know I was born in Fort Dix, NJ on 11/4/1972. I believe I have the basic work-up of my parents. My mother was described as cafe au lait in complexion which I guesstimate as being african american, however they do not describe my father's complexion. Sidenote:Ancestrydna informed me my dna is 59% from Africa and 38% from Europe. More specifically on the Africa side Nigeria, Senegal and Ivory Coast and the basic makeup and on the European side it is made up of Great Britain, West Europe and Iberian Peninsula. How that filters down to my parents in 1972 I have no idea but if that helps anyone out there connect themselves to me I am all about sharing!
I hope to hear from anyone with any nugget of information. I am including a current day pic of myself, maybe you recognize someone?

I am desperately trying to trace my niece, Lisa Waterhouse. Lisa was born on 22nd May 1970 at Canada House, Gillingham, Kent and was adopted just six weeks later by a couple who owned or, run a sweet and tobacconists shop in Kendal, Cumbria. I have never, ever, forgotten my "lost" niece and would truly like to learn of her whereabouts. Any news of Lisa would be greatly appreciated and basically, all I wish to know is that she is well and happy!!!

It is a long shot. I found my birth family 11 years ago. My birth brother, recently deceased, found that he was 3rd live birth. He has an older brother. I was given away because "girls aren't any good on the farm." An aunt said there was another girl born given away. We have reason to believe that there is a female born between 1935-1940 whose birth parents were Bernerd C. Ackerson (B.C.) and Florence Gulick or Ackerson in Waterloo, Iowa at the Presbyterian Hospital or Allen Memorial Hospital. Who knows? She might see this. Thank you.
