Mary, Last year a first cousin on my dads side found me. No one in my dads family ever spoke of his baby sister having a baby. She went to her mothers people in Columbus. It was during the war. No one ever thought anything of her going to Columbus. Well when he got to see his birth certificate the judge said there was something funny about it. He excused himself and left the file on the desk. My cousin sat there. Later his daughter [prosecuter in another state] Told him when a judge leaves the room that is so the party can look at the file. Anyway,he was never told by his adoptee family that he was adopted. He has 2 1/2 half brothers that has lost contact with me. I'm still searching for them. However the new cousin came to see me and also my dads only neice. It was a great experince. have you tried to go to newspaper archives.org and search time, place, name.or through ancestry? i have done alot of searching in heritagequestonline in library access. which is wisconsin, sheboygan. and would like to help. more info.? searching for adopted or adoptees if i can learn something and help wow. i have a neighbor who has hit a brick wall
he lives in the wrong state i guess and the adoption is closed. heritage quest has been a great tool. and ssdi also.
