Looking for information of the Abram Mays family and also the Gilbert families. Lillian Gilbert married Richard Mays although he may have been Richard Odell.
I am looking for information on the Mitchell family who are and have lived in and around Patric county, Va since the early 1800's. Specifically I am looking for the parents of George Washington Mitchell, Sr. who was born around 1805 in North Carolina. I am supposing that as the state borders went back and forth at this time that he was born near Stuart, Va or just across the border in NC. I have info on him forward but have been unable to find his parents or siblings. I would love to trace the family back to the country of orgin. I have been told we came from England and Ireland or Scotland but have been unable to find the links back to there. Any help would be appreciated.
