I think we are talking about the same person. I have his son as Charley D. from the census. By the way, Charley's sister, Belle (who married a Brown) comleted a Miller application saying both of her Redmon grandparents were Cherokee. Her daughter Daisey Nations also completed an application.
I have James Patton Redmon's wife as Martha Hughes.
