Hello, all,
I'm trying to find some information on a Lucy Catherine Whitehouse. She would have been born, most likely in Boyle County, around 1860-1870. She would have married a William Holley (or, possibly, Alexander William Holley). They had the following children together:
(this is from the 1900 Boyle Co. Kentucky Census...ages are listed after the name)
william holley-36
lucy c. holley-36
mollie f. holley-16
nannie holly-12
william p. holley-10 (this would be my great grandfather)
nelie p. holley-8
matilda m holley-7
ray c. holley-4
alice h. holley-1
mary whitehouse-71 (listed as "mother in law")
john tate-24 (listed as "boarder")
I'm assuming that Mary Whitehouse, who is listed as the "mother in law" of the head of household (william holley), is lucy's mother.
However, I've never been able to find out who Lucy's father was. Why would Lucy have the same name as her mother as I'm assuming it was fairly unusual for that to happen back then.
Any information on this branch of my family tree would be much appreciated. Reply here, or feel free to send me an email at jenny.m.holly@gmail.com.
I hope to hear something!
All the Best,
Jenny
Pauline Carmen Whitehouse / Wright or Louis Australia Wright in AUSTRALIA
My grandmother was adopted out and her biological parents names were Pauline Carmen Whitehouse / Wright or Louis Australia Wright.
Pauline passed away shortly after my grandmothers birth which was in 1924 but im not sure when Louis passed away (or even if he has passed away). I think she was born in Paddington, NSW, Australia but cannot be sure and dont have any DOB details.
Louis served in WW1. I think he was born on 9th October 1883 in Victoria, Australia.
Pauline and Louis married in Bourke, NSW, Australia in 1914.
I believe they had 4 children, Jack Inglis, Colin Edward & Joyce as well as my grandmother who was named Doone Sheila (when adopted her name was changed to Joan Thelma).
Anything you can offer to assist with locating blood relatives of Pauline or Louis would be fantastic as we are hoping to create a family tree but cannot trace back any further than that.
