I too am looking for information regarding the Wendorf name but looks like you spell name with 2 f's. My grandmothers maiden name was Wendorf according to her death certificate, they could have misspelled name. Her mothers name was Ottilie. My grandmothers name was Dororthy and married a Schumann.
My mother is a Wendorf. Her mother (Rusch) immigrated from Germany around 1904 with her parents and siblings. In Germany they were from Pommern, Kreis Regenswalde. The village of Alt Labuhn. She married my grandfather (Wendorf) in southern Wisconsin. His family also came from Pommern in the mid 1800s.
My grandmother is a born Wendorff,
she married my grandfather Friedrich Groth in Pomerania,
presumably in Muddelmow (today Poland) later they lived in Berlin, unfortunately,
