I'm looking for anything on Nora Watkins. She was married to Walton Brimer. Then widowed and married his brother A.B. Brimer. Walton and A.B. where sons of J.C. Brimer and Sarah Haire. Nora was the daughter of William Watkins.
I'm not even 100% positive my great grand father's middle initial is "C" but it seems to fit with other research. To my knowledge, my Watkins' blood line goes back to Cardiff Wales. But some things are sketching. For instance, I heard my grand mother Catherine Watkins say repeatedly before she died that my great grandmother's name was Mercy Rhoda Watkins and I assumed Mercy married William in Cardiff Wales but a fine gentleman in Wales that does some great genealogy research (free too) did not find Mercy Rhoda in Cardiff archives, he believes she was born in England. Another confusing point was I thought they were married in Cardiff but no record of that either and my Welch friend said it looked to him like they married in the U.S. near Pittsburgh PA area (Alleghany county). Strange how facts are mixed up over the years. Anyway, hope you find your realatives, even if we are not linked.
Thanks for the infor. I have a number of other family branchs that came from Wales. Gwynne's, Jones, & Buckley's all from northern Wales. Plus some from England & Northern Ireland.
I'm trying to find information about my husbands family. His dad's dad is Cecil WJ Cox (1902-1964) who married Nancy Ada Watkins (1911-1971). Cecil's dad is Joseph H Cox (?) who married Annie Caroline Eston Barrett (?-1941). His dad's mum is Nancy Ada Watkins whose dad is Henry Watkins (1865-1948) and mum is Jessie Watkins (nee Hayes) (?- 1946). They are from the Mangrove mountain area of NSW in Australia.
