Just browsing the net today and found you. I don't know if you know the Vining history of this country, but I have a pretty large database of Vinings. Robert Vining was born in 1600 in Somerset England. His son John came to the colonies in 1652 aboard Mr. Stratton's ship. Most Vinings in the U.S are descended from him. Next came his younger brother William in 1682. William had a son named William and the second William had 3 sons, John, Jesse and Jeptha. I am descended from Jeptha. Jeptha went south from Boston into NC, SC, GA. He was a a very famous preacher of the Baptist faith in the middle 1700's.
