I believe this to be my Great Great Grandfather, I know he was Spanish although his name became anglicised to Menday. He and Mary married in Allhallows Tottenham England and went onto have 8 known children, John 1821-1821, followed by Emma, Eliza, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Sarah, Margaret and John, my Grandfather was Timothy George Menday, his father baptised Tim was the illegitimate son of Elizabeth. On all the censuses it is stated that Mary came from Cambridge, maybe Girton. If anyone knows anything about Haysbury or this family please would they get in touch. I have changed my email address which is now marianne.joy@o2.co.uk
William MENDEA, of Haysbury, Bucks., & Mary Ann NEVES, lic.
My name is Krajewski Mélanie and I live in France. I've heard from my grand-father that his mother's sister, Tekla Popyk(Tillie PARAZAK) left Ukraine and went to Philadelphia around 1930 where she had 4 childrens with John Parazack : Walter PARAZAK who died in 1942, Mary PARAZAK, Olga PARAZAK and Julia PARAZAK who became Julia BODIE after her marriage.
I'd like to know if the Parajack family is still in Philadelphia or not.
I was searching for etterkomere after my uncle. His name is Svend Ringstad (Raugstad). He went over to the U.S. in the early 1900's. I wish I was greeted on his descendants. He also had a brother who went over to the U.S., his name is Martinus Ringstad (Raugstad) It is located that Svend had an address in New York ca.1920 and that he had addresses in philadelphia around 1940, but after that there are no new tracks after him. There is much to suggest that the two brothers did not live far apart. Is there anyone who can help me with something here so I really appreciate it. I live even in Stavanger, Norway so it's not so easy to find something here about the two brothers. Does anyone know anything or know someone who might know something I would like to hear from you. Best Regards Toralf Raugstad.

Would like to find any facts about Lillian...birth, death, where she was born and her parents. I know she was married to James J. Mulherin and had 3 sons.
I am looking for any info on my Seiring family. My Greatgrandfather, August Seiring( probably Siering), who came from the Palatinate of Germany, in the mid 1800's with his wife, Hermena, and at least one child, Charles E. Seiring(probably Siering).
Hermena was the niece/ward of a General VonSteinmetz. Hermena was of the"Upper Crust", and August was from the wrong side of the tracks, but they married in spite of the objections from her family.
I have asked a couple cousins of mine, but have not gotten any answers that meet with my satisfaction. The whole Seiring family has been so closed mouthed. They don't seem to want to tell us anything, or it may be that they don't seem to know anything.
Are there ANY Seirings out there?
The name may have been spelled SIERING in Germany, but became Anglicised to SEIRING after comming to the Philadelphia Harbour in the 1800,s.
So glad to get your posting, this morning, although I do not speak or read German.
I am wondering if you might be able to let me know what you have said, in English, please!?
Do you know anything about the Seiring(Siering) name? August Seiring(Siering) and his family came to America in the mid 1800's. His wife's name was Hermena who was the niece/ ward of a Gen. VonSteinmetz. If you know anything of these two names, please send any information to Charlesseiring@bellsouth.net. My husband has been trying for so many years to find information on his family, andis getting very discouraged at not beeing able to find any. The family members that we have talked with, don't seem to know much, or they just don't want us to know anything.
From the 1900 Census:
August Siering 65 Germany Feb. 1835 married 25 yrs. Immigrated 1870
He was a florist.
Hermena (wife) 46 Germany Jan.1854 had 9 children, all survives immigration 1871
Charles (son) 24 Aug. 1875 he was a machinist
Katie (daughter) 22 Oct. 1877 Saleswoman/grocery
Herman (son) 17 (1910 shows him in Pittsburgh, married to Katherine G.) June 1882 Machinist/car
William (son) 15 May 1885
Margaret (daughter) 11 Sept.1888
Herbert Seiring (son) 10 Dec.1889
Clara (daughter) 6 Aug. 1893
Edith (daughter) 2 Jan.1898
From the information that we have gotten form the family, August was supposed to have been brought to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to work as an electrician in the Pittsburgh Steel Mills. The one son, Charles E.(probably Ernst) Seiring(Siering) was supposed to have been born in Essen, Germany before the family came to America.
Please let us know what information you may have on this name.
I am working on my maiden name of Winebrenner. My father's ancesters also came from the Palatinate, also. My ancester, Johann Christian Winebrenner (Weinbrenner) came to America with several others of his family ( his mother, and other siblings). His father, Johann Theib Weinbrenner died before leaving Germany.
Well, I hope to hear from you on the Seiring (Siering) name, as my husband is so anxious to know of his ancesters.
Thank you so much for your help.
Nana Seiring
P.S. I would appreciate it if you could respond in ENglish, If you can, as I don't speak or read German, and I don't know of anyone who does. Thanks.
So glad to hear from you again!! Thank you for the information on General VonSteinmetz. Is there anything that you can find on his neice/ward, Hermena? If you can find anything on her and her family, we would be greatful for that, too.
My husband is so happy that you have sent us the information on the General.
